Hi, I’m Dr. Silvia

Registered BAcC Acupuncturist (BsC, MBAcC) Specialist in Anaesthesia and Pain Management (MBBS, CCT)

A woman with brown hair, wearing a black top, standing outdoors against a rocky background.

During my anaesthesia training in Italy, I encountered countless patients who felt invisible — unheard, misunderstood, and caught in a relentless loop of tests and medications that brought little relief. Medicine had to be about more than symptom management. What had happened to the compassion, the effort to heal?

That question led me to acupuncture. Traditional Chinese Medicine offered a new perspective — one that moves beyond isolated diagnoses to instead seek the root causes of illness. It taught me to simplify complexity: people with chronic pain, fatigue, migraines, fibromyalgia, or persistent unexplained symptoms often share underlying patterns, even when their symptoms differ.

We tend to treat Western and Eastern medicine as separate worlds, labelling acupuncture as merely “alternative.” But instead of seeing them as separate, I believe these are complementary systems that work best together.

Western medicine gave me precision. Traditional Chinese Medicine taught me to see the bigger picture.

This is the foundation of my practice in London: personalised, integrated care for patients looking for lasting relief, not just a quick fix. A practice where test results are just as important as listening. Where the goal is to understand how your body, mind and life interact, so we can get back to seeing patients as people, and not just symptoms to treat.

Ethics

Good medicine is not about offering the same treatment to everyone—it is about choosing the right treatment for the right patient.

Acupuncture can be highly effective, but true clinical care means recognising when a different approach is needed.

If further investigations, referral to another specialist, or another treatment pathway would serve you better, I will always guide you towards the best option.

What matters most is your health.
